Darrell E. Rowe Ambassador of Bowling Scholarship
Darrell Rowe was a long-time fixture in the Sioux Falls bowling community. For many years he was an active bower, league officer, and member of the Sioux Falls Regional USBC Hall of Fame since 2009. Darrell loved and was an avid promoter of the sport of bowling. Darrell passed away in October 2020. This scholarship was created to honor Darrell and his love and commitment to the sport. Scholarships will be awarded to Sioux Falls area youth bowlers who exemplify Darrell’s love of the sport and commitment to making it a better sport for everyone.
Legends for Kids Scholarship Application
Legends for Kids awards scholarships to outstanding college-bound high school seniors who have demonstrated leadership and commitment in school athletics, their community and academic achievement. Award recipients must have demonstrated exceptional character and leadership in furthering their own progress and in enriching the lives of others, especially in athletics, academics and community involvement. Bowl4Life Foundation
The Bowl4Life Foundation is a non-profit formed in 2013 by founder Chuck Gardner. The goal of the Bowl4Life Scholarship Foundation is to grow the sport of bowling by assisting people of all ages to improve their skill level and knowledge of the game. In addition, the Foundation has awarded over $157,000 in scholarships to youth bowlers. The 2021 Bowl4Life Logo Infusion Scholarship is available now. Must be postmarked by February 13, 2021.

Midwest Youth Championships
> Where: Alexandria, MN

> About: The Midwest Youth Championship is the largest youth scholarship tournament in the Midwest. In 2020 there were 201 youth bowlers. $38,000 in scholarships were awarded during the event. There are 3 divisions; boys scratch, girls scratch, and a handicapped division.

Elite Youth Tour
Founded in 2012 by World Champion bowlers Jason Belmonte and Diandra Asbaty, Elite Youth Tour was born out of love and passion for the sport of bowling. EYT provides not only an opportunity for young bowlers (ages 5 to 20) to prepare for their future in bowling, but also gives them an outlet where they can learn essential and valuable life skills. Participants also have the opportunity to earn substantial scholarship money and have the opportunity to earn the right to compete at Junior Gold, bowling’s biggest youth stage, and the chance to bowl for Junior Team USA.
Storm Youth Championships (SYC)
The Storm Youth Championships (SYC) was created to celebrate all of the great things about youth bowling. SYC’s goal is to bring players and families from around the country together in the spirit of competition and camaraderie.
Nebraska BPA Junior Bowlers Tour
The Nebraska BPA Junior Bowlers Tour was created February of 2016 by Randy Dodge and the Nebraska Bowling Proprietors Association. Tour Sponsors are the Nebraska BPA, The Baer Foundation, Lawrence Paper Company, Nebraska USBC, Jazzy Ape and Storm Bowling.
The Greater Iowa Scholarship Bowling Tour (GISBT)
USBC certified bowlers age 22 and under can participate in monthly scholarship bowling tournaments. Learn more on their website.
USBA Tournament Events / Flight Series
The Tournament Flight Series is run by the United States Bowling Academy. Each tournament shall be USBC sanctioned and is open to all USBC Youth and Adult sanctioned bowlers. Learn more on their website.
Howie Kolhoff Invitational
The Howie Kolhoff Invitational youth scholarship bowling tournament has been held annually at Eastway Bowl in Sioux Falls since 2014 to honor the memory of the late Washington High School bowling coach Howie Kolhoff. Download the flier and learn more at the links below.
